Virtual Mock Citizenship Naturalization Interviews for New Immigrants and Current U.S. Citizens

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Description

By appointment only.

Meet a trained librarian online for a one-on-one mock interview similar to the one you will need to pass in order to become a U.S. Citizen.

This opportunity is perfect for anyone preparing to take their citizenship/naturalization test or any adult who wants to go through the experience of sitting through the naturalization interview.

Learn more about the U.S. naturalization interview and what it feels like to participate in one.  A facilitator will act as an immigration officer and conduct mock interviews with participants. These interviews simulate the actual naturalization interview that takes place at a USCIS office with the immigration officers asking questions about the information applicants provide on the N-400 form and asking American history and government questions.  You will be asked to read and write simple sentences as you would during the actual interview.

Are you curious about what the interview is like?  Check out a simulation video available on the USCIS website then email Melissa Maglio, melissa.maglio@sjlibrary.org to make an appointment.
