Want to dip your toes in the water before plunging into a High School Business Program? Try this zero risk (to your grades) library program! This 8-part series is meant for Middle Schoolers (6th to 8th graders) to try out High School Business and Econ. lessons. The goals are to teach business practices, to prepare individuals to start their own businesses, or to run a business. Students will be introduced to principles of business, entrepreneurship, finance, economics, and a business organizational chart.
This class is for children in grades 6 through 8.
Participants must pre-register. Important: please email Lisa Molson at firstname.lastname@example.org once your child is registered for the workshop. Participants should not register unless they are able to attend all eight sessions (sessions will not be recorded so live participation is required to learn the material). Participants will be sent Zoom information before the first session. Registered participants who miss the first session may lose their spot in the program.
This session will NOT be recorded, nor are participants required to turn on their video. They will also have the option to rename themselves upon entry into the Zoom class session.
Participants will need access to WIFI and a laptop/computer and the class will be held through Zoom. Fifteen minutes prior to the class, please ensure your system's audio is working properly. If interested, you can download or find out more information on Zoom software here.
