Bascom Branch Library presents this beginning Spanish course for students in grades 4 through 8 (approx. age range 9 to 14 years). Learn how to conjugate verbs in present tense and talk about irregular verbs in Spanish. We will also go into brief depth about how to conjugate in the past tense and teach basic conversation skills such as comprehension and vocabulary. This is a beginner course, however students are advised to put in 5-10 minutes after class to review what was covered, to enhance their understanding about of the material covered in the workshop.
Important information: please email Lisa Molson at firstname.lastname@example.org once your child is registered for the workshop to ensure they receive pertinent Zoom information. This is especially crucial for those last minute registrants.
Participants should not register unless they are able to attend all 6 sessions (sessions will not be recorded so live participation is required to learn the material, nor will the instructors' presentation be forwarded by request). Participants will be sent Zoom information at least a day prior to the first session. Registered participants who miss the first session may lose their spot in the program.
Although participants' video is turned off by default, it is strongly encouraged that students turn on this feature to allow for a fully interactive learning experience.
Participants will need access to WIFI and a laptop/computer and the class will be held through Zoom. Please ensure your system's audio is working properly. If interested, you can download or find out more information on Zoom software here.
Online etiquette is expected and participants who interfere with the instructors' presentation may be removed from the class.
Please note that being added to the waitlist does not guarantee entry into the program and waitlist participants will be added only if there are cancellations.
