This program was paid for with the generous support to the Friends of the Willow Glen Library.
Science Smart Kids presents Solstices and Equinoxes, a hands-on STEAM workshop for ages 5 to 12. Children will learn about the orbit planets, Earth’s axis, winter and summer solstices, and fall and spring equinoxes. We will also explore their spiritual significance in ancient cultures and even in todays world. Each attendee will create a scientific diagram that explains why winter and summer solstices, and fall and spring equinoxes happen.
Supplies needed: Paper (printer paper will do), PDF of solstice diagram (will be emailed to librarians later) pencil, and markers.
