The Beginning Java course will allow students with little to no programming experience to get a feeling of what programming is like and prepare themselves for high school coding This fast-paced program will help students understand the core basics of Java and Object-Oriented Programming and will help students decide whether they like programming or not. Attendees can expect to learn the basics of programming languages in Java such as printing, variables, methods, and looping. They will also be introduced to Object-Oriented Programming.
The class is suitable for children 9 to 14 years old.
The course consists of 6 sessions. If you register, you will be enrolled in the entire 6-week long class. Please make every effort to attend every session.
This class will be held online via Zoom. Please register and a link and password will be sent to you in advance of the event. To protect participants' privacy, this meeting will not be recorded and participants will have the option to rename themselves for the meeting.
