Children ages 9 to 13 (or in grades 4 through 7) will learn how to solve difficult math problems that prepare them for math competitions in middle school. In this 8-week course, we will be covering formulas created by mathematicians; students will demonstrate how to work backwards when solving a problem, learn tricks in counting, and much more.
Participants should not register unless they are able to attend all 8 sessions (sessions will not be recorded so live participation is required to learn the material). Participants will be sent Zoom information a day before the first session. Registered participants who miss the first session may lose their spot in the program.
Although participants' video is turned off by default, it is encouraged (and strongly recommended) for active class participation.
Participants will need access to WIFI and a laptop/computer and the class will be held through Zoom. Fifteen minutes prior to the class, please ensure your system's audio is working properly. If interested, you can download or find out more information on Zoom software here.
Online etiquette is expected and participants who interfere with the instructors' presentation may be removed from the class.
