Introduction to Python Programming for Kids - A Virtual Workshop

Description

Students will be introduced to Python and the world of Computer Science. Through the use of exciting activities and reviews, students will learn the fundamentals of Python, e.g. variables, data types, lists, etc. Each session students will write a mini-program to practice those concepts. At the end, students will develop their own program demonstrating their newly acquired knowledge of Python and problem solving. Ages: 9-14 years of age. Please plan on attending all 4 meetings.

This class will be held online via Zoom. Please register and a link and password will be sent to you in advance of the event. To protect participants' privacy, this meeting will not be recorded and participants will have the option to rename themselves for the meeting. For those under 18 years of age who may be joining us, we recommend that a parent/legal guardian be with you during the meeting. Learn more about Zoom at zoom.us.
