Striving for Justice: The History of Anti-Black Racism, Past and Present

Celebrate Black History Month and join Author Alessandra Harris as she speaks on the brutal history of anti-Black racism from slavery to Jim Crow to mass incarceration. Her nonfiction title on this subject will be published by Orbis Books in Fall 2023. 

Alessandra Harris is an author of three novels, wife, mother of four, and life-long San Francisco Bay Area resident who graduated from San Jose State University. She started writing for City Flight in 2007, a local magazine geared toward the Bay Area Black community and advocates for racial justice.
