Hosted by the Calabazas Branch Library. This program is in celebration of Silicon Valley Reads 2024 theme “A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today.”
Join us as we read “The Forest Man”, a true story about Jadav Payeng who planted a whole forest! We will learn that you can start with one tree to prevent environmental destruction and make a change that will benefit animals and local communities.
We will create Our Community Forest by upcycling materials and “planting” our own special trees. We will populate it with animals from the book and every other animal you like. The “forest” will stay in the library for the whole community to enjoy.
Recommended for children 6-10 years old and their families.
