To Change a Planet: Story and Blanket of Hope Activity

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
West Valley

Description

Hosted by the West Valley Branch Library.

This program is in celebration of the Silicon Valley Reads 2024 theme, “A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today.”

Join us as we read To Change a Planet, which speaks in simple terms about both the causes of climate change and how our actions can create a better world.

Program participants will listen to the story, then draw a picture of what a healthy Earth looks like to them. All the pictures together will create a Blanket of Hope for the future of our planet. We may tape pictures up for display on a window.

Recommended for children ages 3-5 and their families.

Free. No Registration Required. We will have supplies for 30 children.

To request an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act for library-sponsored events, please call 408-808-2355 or email Accessibility@sjlibrary.org at least three business days prior to the event.
