Description

Hosted by the Willow Glen Branch Library. This program is in celebration of Silicon Valley Reads 2024 theme “A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today.”

Concerned about your kids when biking with them? Join us at this one-hour class to learn how to bike safely with kids of any age. These tips and tricks have worked for many families including the class instructor. We will cover gear and equipment options to help you have safe and enjoyable riding adventures! Come with your questions as there will be a significant Q&A section with at least one experienced family rider.

Please register if you are interested in this event. This event will not be held if there aren't enough sign-ups before the event. Free.

Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) is a nonprofit that builds healthier and more just communities by making bicycling safe and accessible for everyone. The classes are provided for free with funding from 2016 Measure B courtesy of Valley Transit Authority (VTA). Bicycling is the most efficient mode of transportation commonly available to everyone and does more to solve climate change than any other mode.
There will be a prize for each family (bike light or patch kit) provided by SVBC!

To request an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act for library-sponsored events, please call 408-808-2355 or email Accessibility@sjlibrary.org at least three business days before the event.
