Silicon Valley Reads: The Art and Science of Composting

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Vineland

Description

Hosted by the Vineland Branch Library. This program is in celebration of the Silicon Valley Reads 2024 theme
“A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today.” Compost is called “black gold.” There are two things good soil needs: nutrients and structure. Many conventional agriculture and horticulture methods provide nutrients but not the structure. Compost provides both. This presentation will give an overview and details of composting, using several examples.
