Events › Art of the African Diaspora Satellite Exhibit

Art of the African Diaspora is the longest running event of its kind in the Bay Area. Its first incarnation was born in 1989 as Colors of Black and later transitioned to become The Art of Living Black hosted by the Richmond Art Center in 1996. By 2018, the exhibit morphed into Art of the African Diaspora, an artistic movement to bring more visibility to local Black artists. This exhibit has expanded from the Richmond Art Center to have satellite exhibitions of Black artists all over the Bay Area. Join us in welcoming this exhibit to our Alum Rock Library Branch and help us celebrate the featured artists: TheArthur Wright, Justice Renaissance, Akeem Raheem, Araceli Holmes, Onye Timms, Saida Nassirruddin, Ashlei Reign, Yolanda Patton, and Foad Satterfield.
