VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) volunteers @ Pearl Avenue Branch Library offer free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including:

• People who generally make $67,000 or less
• Persons with disabilities
• Limited English-speaking taxpayers

What to Bring:

• Photo ID and Social Security card or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for each family member.
• W-2 forms and all 1099, or all other tax forms you received.
• A copy of last year's federal and state tax return, if available.
• Bank account number and routing number for direct deposit.
• Health coverage information (1095-A, B, C) if bought through Covered CA.

No Registration. Walk-in only. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED while daily limited slots are available. 

A paper sign in sheet for assistance on the day of tax help will be available at 3 PM. No appointment or signing up in advance by calling and emailing the branch. This program will run weekly, from Thursday, February 6 to Thursday, April 10, from 4 - 7 p.m.

There will be volunteers who speak Chinese, Hindi and Punjabi.
