Join us for our monthly STEM Workshop presented by teen volunteers in Girls Empowered in Math and Science (GEMS)! This one-hour workshop includes a brief presentation explaining the concepts involved in the activities.

Welcome to Sense the Science: A 5 Senses Workshop for Kids! This August, participants will explore each of their senses through 5 unique mini experiments. To investigate vision, children will engage with optical illusions. Next, participants will challenge their ears with sound frequencies and their smell with scent identification. Then, we will examine our sense of touch through comparing different grits of sandpaper. Finally, we will explore taste by sampling different flavors. Join us this month for an hour of learning, and you’ll get a fantastic sense of fun along the way!

Free. No registration required. Recommended for elementary school students. Presented by teen volunteers in Girls Empowered in Math and Science (GEMS).
