SyntheticPast is an educational platform designed to improve history education by making it more accessible and interactive. SyntheticPast workshops are designed to engage elementary and middle school students, including those from underprivileged backgrounds, in creative activities that spark intellectual curiosity and deepen their understanding of history's influence on the modern world. Each workshop focuses on a specific historical topic, features an introductory game/activity, a primary hands-on activity, and a brief educational lesson.

Free; registration required.

Please register for each session that you would like to attend. Attendance of all sessions is not required.

  • The Renaissance (7/20)
  • Exploration and Discovery (7/27)
  • The Industrial Revolution (8/3)
  • World War II (8/10)
  • The Civil Rights Movement (8/17)

If you register, please arrive on time. Registrants who are more than 15 minutes may lose their registered spot.
