Events › Sense the Science: A 5 Senses Workshop for Kids

Welcome to "Sense the Science: A 5 Senses Workshop for Kids!" Participants will explore each of their senses through 5 unique mini experiments. To investigate vision, children will engage with optical illusions. Next, participants will challenge their ears with sound frequencies and their smell with scent identification. Then, we will examine our sense of touch through comparing different grits of sandpaper. Finally, we will explore taste by sampling different flavors. Join us for an hour of learning, and you'll get a fantastic sense of fun along the way!

Free. No registration required. Supplies may be limited for up to 20 participants. Recommended for elementary school students with adult supervision. Presented by teen volunteers in Girls Empowered in Math and Science (GEMS).
