ESL 501 Reading & Writing 1
What will you learn in this class? This is a non-credit, high-beginning-level integrated ESL skills course emphasizing basic reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Students will learn to comprehend frequently used words in context, use learned phrases and sentences to express ideas in basic writing, understand basic grammar structures, and read simplified material.

Before the classes start, you must complete a Guided Self-Placement (GSP). This is not a test—it's simply an assessment to help us place you in the most appropriate ESL class based on your current English level.
We will assist you with the application and registration process in person at the Tully Branch Library.
