STEM Wednesdays: Extracting DNA from Fruits

Description

We will be teaching students the basics of DNA and genetics through a lecture and interactive activity.Children will learn about DNA and genomes and chromosomes. Participants will dive into a hands-on activity on DNA extraction of fruits. 

They'll have a blast exploring what makes a successful structure—all while using their imagination and teamwork!

Recommended for ages 5-11.

Free. Registration required (drop-ins accepted, provided there is space).
