Curious about how science and technology can change the world? Students ages 10-13 are welcome to join STEM 4 Change for fun, hands-on workshops where you’ll play games, solve challenges, and explore exciting topics like renewable energy and robotics—all while discovering how STEM can make a difference! STEM 4 Change is offering 4 workshops this February. Students interested in attending one or more of these workshops, should register for each workshop separately.

Solid or Liquid? The Physics of Oobleck

On February 28th join us for “Solid or Liquid? The Physics of Oobleck” - Create your own Oobleck! It’s a strange material that acts like a solid when you squeeze it, but flows like a liquid when you let it rest. Students will discover how engineers use this surprising behavior to design athletic padding, protective gear, and shock-absorbing materials used in the real world.

STEM 4 Change is a student-driven initiative dedicated to harnessing the power of STEM to foster creativity, social equity, and global impact.

All materials will be provided.

Free. Registration is required.
