In this interactive workshop, students will learn the basics of coding by creating their own Scratch game called Never Refuse to Reuse. Using guided slides along with interactive, hands-on activities, participants will program a game where the player uses a sliding bucket to catch trash falling from the sky. Students will code using Scratch’s block-based programming language and learn fundamental concepts such as loops and conditional statements. Inspired by the Girls Who Code curriculum, this workshop emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and environmental awareness. By the end of the session, each student will have built and customized their own playable game.
**We have laptops and iPads on hand for the participants to use for the program for those that are unable to bring one.
