In this fun, beginner-friendly camp hosted by PI Kids, students will learn Python programming while exploring how Raspberry Pi mini-computers work. The kids will build their own mini-games, learn coding fundamentals, and develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills while learning about computer hardware and how software controls it.
- Monday, June 8: Introduction to Raspberry Pi + Python Basics, how computers work (algorithmic thinking), Parts of the Raspberry Pi (mini computers vs. normal computers), and Python basics
- Tuesday, June 9: More Python basics, Loops, Random numbers, Game logic and keeping score, Binary numbers
- Wednesday, June 10: Raspberry Pi Hardware, Mini games, GPIO pins, Buttons and inputs, Mini games using basic Python knowledge
- Thursday, June 11: Applications of Python skills, Review of past 3 days, Python in the real world, and Mini projects
For ages 8 to 13. Registration required.
