ChatGPT for Everyday Life

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
King Library

Description

Join us for a friendly, hands-on workshop designed to help older adults explore the basics of artificial intelligence. We’ll walk through what AI is, how tools like ChatGPT work, and simple ways you can use them in your daily life— from staying organized to getting help with writing, planning, or learning new skills.

You'll walk away with:

  1. Hands-on experience practicing real scenarios—like drafting emails, summarizing documents, or getting step-by-step guidance on new topics.
  2. An understanding of safety and privacy basics, including what information to share, what to avoid, and how to use AI responsibly.
  3. Tips for using AI to stay connected, whether that's helping with communication, learning, or exploring new hobbies.

This course is geared towards older adults who may be new to AI. If you have a laptop, or other way to access the internet, bring it with you. If not, computers will be available through the library.

Registration is required.
