Events › Teens Reach Crafternoon: Dried Flower Bookmarks & Notebooks

Join our monthly Teens Reach meeting where you can learn a craft, eat some snacks, chat about the library community, and learn how you can lend a hand. Feel free to bring a friend as well!

For April's craft we'll be decorating wooden bookmarks and blank notebook covers with pressed flowers. Each participant will have the chance to make one bookmark and one notebook to be used at school, work, home, or wherever they're needed.

This program is specifically for teens ages 13-18.

What is Teens Reach? Teens Reach is the youth council for the San José Public Library, allowing young adults to build their leadership skills by developing and participating in library activities, as well as becoming library advisors and advocates.

What happens at Teens Reach meetings? Our in-person meeting plans include:

• Chatting about teen volunteer opportunities
• Discussing community youth engagement
• Games & Activities/crafts
• Snack eating
• Guest Speakers
• Elections for Advisory Board

Teens Reach Tarde de manualidades: Separadores y Cuadernos con Flores Prensadas

Se parte de nuestra reunión mensual de Teens Reach donde podrás aprender a hacer manualidades, comer antojitos, charlar sobre la comunidad bibliotecaria, y aprender cómo puedes echar una mano a alguien. ¡Si gustas puedes traer un amigo/a!

En nuestra reunión de abril, decoraremos separadores de madera y portadas de cuadernos con flores prensadas. Cada persona podrá hacer un separador y un cuaderno para usar en la escuela, el trabajo, en casa o donde lo necesite.

Este programa está dirigido específicamente a adolescentes de edades 13 a 18 años.
