Events › Learning the Ländler, a Q&A with the Sound of Music Cast and a dance lesson

Meet cast members from The Sound of Music, currently playing at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, during a special Q&A session. Afterward, cast members will teach participants how to dance the Ländler, a traditional Austrian folk dance performed by Maria and Captain Von Trapp during the musical's party scene.

The Sound of Music is a classic musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein that tells the tale of a young, former nun who becomes the governess of seven children in an elite but broken Austrian household. Through the exuberant Maria, light and laughter are brought to the family by way of music and dance during the years immediately leading up to World War II.

This is a free program. All ages are welcome to attend. Registration required.
