I'm trying to pick this up at the Main Library NOT Burbank. The computer is not letting me change.

Just a heads-up. Ritter Library's copy of season 3 is missing a disc. I did bring it to their attention, so maybe they'll get a new one.

Thoroughly enjoyed the season. Wondering how they will introduce new characters to create further interest now that they've removed two the central ones. Buddy - if you can't 'get into' that time in history best to by-pass any season to come!

I found Downton Abbey to be very engaging. I was drawn into the stories after only a few minutes of watching. I found this surprising because I'm not usually drawn into stories like this. Some of the plots are predictable, but that is easily forgiven. The different stories interconnect in interesting ways. Wonderful acting and beautiful setting. I was effectively transported to another time and place.

Spoiler Alert! I might be the only one who thinks Lady Mary is horrible. Her mannerisms are down right annoying. She never deserved Matthew so she is finally getting what she deserves - going into season 4. I never wanted the "wedding" to happen and I thought that Lady Edith's wedding dress was so much better - absolutely gorgeous. She is one of my favorite characters along with Violet, Maggie Smith. The writing for her character is brilliant. Sadly my other favorite character is gone.

I was definely shocked about the many twists and character changes - but that is how life goes at a time of War and the Roaring 20's.

Having said that, I am addicted!

First one unbelievable shocker with one of the show's sweeter characters, then another even more earth shattering tragic cliffhanger... Curse you Julian Fellowes! FIVE STARS.
