The disappearance of the First Lady comes in the wake of the scandalous revelation of the President's affair. As the title suggests, this book is more about the First Lady than the President. It is narrated mostly by a secret service agent and is quite well told. There was a bit of unnecessary gruesomeness but for the most part it was realistic. Good page-turning read.

This novel was interesting and a good read if not as suspenseful as most of James Patterson's mysteries. I especially liked what the character Miriam Tanner had to say to President Tucker, "What were you thinking?" So many people, famous or not, have lost so much because they don't think and make poor decisions concerning keeping their marriage vows.

DON'T READ MARY WESTCOTT'S COMMENTS BELOW. THIS DIMWIT GIVES AWAY THE ENTIRE PLOT OF THIS BOOK.

That said, if you haven't read it, the book is pretty good. I enjoyed it, especially the last chapter.

This was a good simple read with enough of a mystery that kept you reading to the end.

I loved this book! It kept me engrossed and even though I was able to figure out who was behind certain actions before it was revealed in the story, it was still a very good read!

Great book Love the story. The first lady's husband, the President was having a affair, so she had the news channels be at his hotel when he came out. His chief of staff wanted to keep it a secret when she disappeared. But she planned it, even had her finger cut off to send to the White House with a ransom note of 100 million dollars. The chief of staff paid it, which she had planned. The secret service was the one who found her. She resigned and went to work for the first lady in her Charity foundation. The chief of staff was fired and later murdered by his hired killer that he hired to kill first lady. The president was left all alone as his mistress left him too.
