One of his better "recent" books. He's been slacking off and letting his co-authors do most of the heavy lifting. This book was slow at times but entertaining. I've found most of his books, as well as other authors, pick up the pace as they get toward the last half. True I didn't read this one as quick as some others but was still good. I know eventually nanamama will have to die but that will be a fantastic character loss. The one chapter where there's a voice in the basement and Bree grabs a gun and nana grabs an iron skillet was great. And I can just picture her, 92 years old, somewhat tall but slender African American lady, in an apron, grabbing a skillet. AND being still strong enough to hold and swing it.
