SJPL Picks: Afrofuturism

Speculative fiction, for all it's possibilities, can sometimes feel a little one-note. Much of mainstream science fiction is rooted in Eurocentric culture, and winds up using similar tropes. Enter Afrofuturism - speculative fiction that explores the intersection of African diaspora cultures and future technology. These recommended works of Afrofuturism have been selected by SJPL Librarians.
